Prosecution: He disobeyed a Section 14 Order on the road in Parliament Square, surrounding Parliament Square Gardens (this is important!) on 3rd September, 2020. Defence shot holes through the CPS case: 1) The Section 14 Order was issued after protest started. 2) It was not issued by most senior police officer. 3) It stated Parl Sq without excluding Parl Sq Gdns, where protesters were told they could go to! 4) Then the PC didn't give them time to comply. |
